Maintenance Tech - Saginaw, MI

Legacy is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 224-unit market rate property in Saginaw, MI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining property grounds (clean up and trash removal) including mechanical and manual snow removal, unit turns (tear down and maintenance repair of vacant units) and completing residential work orders in timely and accurate manner. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including on-call, emergencies, weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair
• Experience with drywall repairs and painting are essential
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and independently
• Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• HVAC Certification is a plus
• Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings required

Legacy is seeking a full-time Grounds person to support a 248-unit property located in Lansing, MI. As Grounds person, you will be responsible for maintaining property grounds, including cleaning up around the perimeter of the property, tree/bush trimming, weeding, planting flowers and trash removal. This position is responsible for performing some light exterior maintenance and requires the ability to work extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.
 
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) or more years of experience with multi-family grounds maintenance preferred
• Experience with snow plowing preferred
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations

Service Coordinator - Detroit, MI

Legacy is seeking a full-time Service Coordinator to provide exceptional support to our residents across four (4) affordable properties located in Detroit, MI. The Service Coordinator links elderly, people with disabilities and low-income families to supportive services and other community resources. In addition to performing a wide range of administrative and office duties, this position facilitates programs and services such as health and wellness, job training or transportation. The Service Coordinator is a vital part of our team and must be organized and highly detailed with the capability to track and meet deadlines. Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Human Services required; Master of Social Work (MSW) preferred
