Property Manager - Detroit, MI

Do you enjoy solving problems and resolving them through teamwork and tact? Do you quickly build relationships and earn the trust and respect of others? Legacy is seeking an experienced Property Manager to manage the day to day operations of a 200-unit high rise property located in Detroit, MI. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and organized and provide quality, professional service to residents including preparing paperwork for move-in, move-outs, re-certifications, resident billing, maintaining accurate file system, month end closing procedures, and processing work orders in a timely manner. In addition, the Property Manager will be responsible for directly managing on-site staff, as well as maintaining a professional relationship with the owners and vendors and upholding all applicable outside agency standards.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in Property Management required
• Knowledge of Public Housing regulatory guidelines required
• REAC preparation experience required
• Experience with managing staff, scheduling and multi-tasking
• Exceptional customer service with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
• Management of receivables, payables, and budgeting for the community
• Awareness of Fair Housing laws required
• Occupancy Specialist Certification in Public Housing preferred
• Real Estate License required within 6 months of employment
• Proficiency in MS Office products
• Yardi experience preferred
• Must be able to work extended and varied hours
• Some travel required, must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation

Maintenance Tech - Saginaw, MI

Legacy is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 224-unit market rate property in Saginaw, MI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining property grounds (clean up and trash removal) including mechanical and manual snow removal, unit turns (tear down and maintenance repair of vacant units) and completing residential work orders in timely and accurate manner. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including on-call, emergencies, weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair
• Experience with drywall repairs and painting are essential
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and independently
• Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• HVAC Certification is a plus
• Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings required
